If you have a medical problem which cannot wait until the surgery opens, you can contact NHS 111. You will be put you through to specially trained NHS staff who will ensure you receive the right sort of advice or help as swiftly as possible.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

If you have a very urgent medical problem between 08:00-08:30 on a weekday, and do not feel that you can wait until 8:30 when the surgery opens, you can call 01452 229143. You will be asked some basic questions about who you are and the nature of the problem by a messaging service operator. This information will then be sent through the duty doctor’s pager, and he/she will call you back as soon as possible.

Alternatively, for emergency medical problems you may need to consider calling 999 for an ambulance.
