We will be running our annual COVID & Flu Winter Booster clinics in October, with the dates set as Saturday 3rd and Saturday 10th.
Please save these dates in your diaries.
Please ‘Do Not‘ call reception to book in yet, as the appointments will not be released until the vaccines are available at the Practice (expected at the end of August/beginning of September).
Once the vaccinations have arrived, we will invite eligible patients for the clinics.
Please note the below eligibility criteria for the Winter Booster 2026:
Flu:
• Individuals aged 65 years or over (including those reaching the age of 65 years by 31 March 2027)
• Individuals aged 18 years to under 65 years in a clinical risk group category listed in the influenza chapter of the Green Book: Chronic Respiratory Diseases, Chronic Heart/Vascular/Liver/Neurological Disease, Learning Disability, Diabetes, Asplenia, weakened immune systems due to disease, morbidly obese adults with BMI of 40kg/m2 and above, household contacts of immunosuppressed people, Care Home residents, carers in receipt of carers allowance, pregnant women and eligible children.
COVID:
• Adults aged 75 years and over;
• Residents in a care home for older adults; and
• Individuals who are immunosuppressed (as defined in the ‘immunosuppression’ sections of tables 3 or 4 in the COVID-19 chapter of the green book).
Please note that there are some conditions and additional criteria for eligibility in some aspects above. If you believe you should be eligible, please contact the practice from September onwards to discuss the matter with our teams.
